Summary posted:
A separate Public Records Act request went to the City Clerk on September 24, with the City Manager copied, for the papers behind the plate-reader purchases the City’s own records show before Flock: Resolution 2010-7 and its staff report, the PIPS Technology mobile system listed in the City Clerk’s resolution log; the staff report, quotation and any order or terms for the 2016 Vigilant Solutions cameras at the North K Street bridge (Resolution 2016-43), and any record of what became of them; the purchase order, invoice and payment for the 2021 trailer (Resolutions 2020-73 and 2021-19), with its licensing and Sheriff’s maintenance invoices since April 2021; the purchase order, invoice, payment and signed order for the 2021 Vigilant reader (Resolution 2021-56), and whether its five-year hosting is still active; and any usage and privacy policy for those readers. It asks the City to set these records aside while the request is open, because the City’s recent destruction resolutions reach payment back-up about five years old, and it offers to inspect and photograph paper files at City Hall, an offer that also covers the eight records in the Flock request. It asks the City to keep those eight first in line.
Wording from the message
“For anything the City never had, one line saying so is all I need.”
What this establishes
The City acknowledged the request September 24 and said work would follow Flock. Records remain pending. This separate request runs on its own clock, sets no deadline and authorizes no fees. Asking for a record does not establish that it exists.
What happens next
Await the earlier-reader records after the City’s Flock search.
