October 5 is mail-ballot dispatch, not promised home delivery. Verify locations, accessibility and procedures directly with the registrar.
Official voting information · Conditional registration instructionsThe links below lead to official election or filing pages. Officeholders, filed candidates and candidates on a particular ballot are separate lists.
Invitations have not been sent. Every candidate in the same race will receive the same six questions, a 150-word limit per answer and one common closing date. After all invitations are sent, we will allow at least 24 hours to check for delivery failures and resolve any failures before announcing the date. Candidates will then have at least ten full calendar days to respond. Sending and no observed bounce do not prove receipt. A later resend extends the whole race equally. No window begins until its closing date is announced to candidates and published here.
Answers will appear in the author’s own words with dates, separate from source checks. Corrections and late replies will be dated; silence will not be treated as a position or refusal. The project does not rank or endorse candidates.
Current-office questions are separate. Individual policy answers from officeholders who are candidates will be held for the common response release in their race. Authorized administrative City replies and factual corrections may appear sooner, clearly labeled by role. See who has been contacted.
The source, its context and the questions still open for each claim.

An automated license plate reader (ALPR) saves a vehicle’s plate, time and location for later searches. A car does not have to match a police alert to be recorded. [1]
Needles City Council approved the Flock proposal on October 22, 2024. [2]
Four is the proposal count. City check registers show $15,800 paid to Flock in February 2025 and $13,200 in February 2026. [7][8] The operating inventory and current retention remain unverified. [3]
The quote names the City of Needles as customer, and the City paid from its state COPS fund, which state law reserves for police services. [9] San Bernardino County Sheriff provides Needles’ policing. The signed agreement and its terms remain unverified. [2][3][4]
Mountain View, California, reported stolen-vehicle recovery and a missing family found safe with Flock’s help. Its audit also found outside access contrary to its intended setup. [5]
Savannah, Georgia, police reported firing six employees after finding misuse, including searches involving acquaintances and family. [6] These are agency reports about other cities; they do not establish Needles’ outcomes or misuse.
Who can search our records, how long are they kept, and what results justify the cost?
Ask Needles City Council about funding and upcoming decisions; ask San Bernardino County Sheriff about access, audits and operating rules.
